Welcome to Monsoon Dental: What You Can Expect When You Walk Through Our Doors

Choosing a new dentist is a decision that matters more than it might seem at first. It's not just about finding someone who can fill a cavity or clean your teeth — it's about finding a practice where you feel genuinely comfortable, where your concerns are taken seriously, and where the care you receive is built around your actual needs rather than a production schedule. Monsoon Dental was built on exactly that premise, and we'd like to introduce you to what we're about.

Dr. Bradley Konecnik: A Tucson Dentist Who Stayed

Dr. Konecnik was born and raised in Tucson, earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona, and completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Boston University. After graduating, he chose to come back to Tucson — not because it was convenient, but because this is his community, and he wanted to serve it. For 13 years before opening Monsoon Dental, he provided comprehensive dental care to Veterans at the Tucson VA Hospital, an experience that shaped both his clinical skills and his deep respect for the patients in his chair. He has extensive training and experience in general dentistry, dental implants, and digital dentistry, as well as specialized training in Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine from the University of Southern California. His patients call him Dr. K, and the warmth behind that nickname reflects the kind of relationship he builds with every person he treats.

What Makes Monsoon Dental Different

Monsoon Dental is independently owned, which is increasingly uncommon in an industry that has seen significant consolidation into corporate dental chains. That independence matters to how we operate. There are no outside investors telling us how many patients to see per hour, no metrics being tracked that prioritize revenue over outcomes. When Dr. K makes a treatment recommendation, it's because it's genuinely the right clinical choice for the patient — not because a management system flagged an upsell opportunity. Patients notice the difference. They notice that appointments don't feel rushed. They notice that Dr. K remembers details about their lives from visit to visit. They notice that when they call with a concern, a real person answers and actually helps.

The Services We Offer

Monsoon Dental is a comprehensive general practice, which means most patients can receive the full spectrum of their dental care in one place rather than being referred elsewhere for basic to moderately complex needs. We offer preventive care, restorative dentistry including crowns and bridges, dental implants with guided placement using 3D imaging, cosmetic treatments, dentures, tooth extractions, TMJ/TMD evaluation and treatment, geriatric dentistry, and sedation options for anxious patients. Our technology — including a CBCT scanner, intraoral 3D scanner, and digital X-rays — supports precise diagnosis and treatment planning that leads to better outcomes and more comfortable appointments.

Making Care Accessible

We accept most dental insurance plans. For patients without insurance, we offer a new patient special and in-house membership plans that provide preventive care and discounts on additional treatment at an annual cost that makes ongoing dental care genuinely affordable. We believe that cost should never be the reason someone puts off care that would help them, and we do our best to make high-quality dentistry accessible to the Tucson community we serve. If you're ready to experience what dental care looks like when a practice is built around patients rather than profits, we'd love to meet you.
